When I was searching for CCTV installers in Coventry, I came across Amans Alarms and all of the 5* reviews he has accumulated over the last couple of years. Whilst Amans reputation speaks for itself, I decided to get 3 quotes - a quote from a national alarm company, the second from Amans alarms and the third from a local handyman. Where Amans alarms differed to others I spoke with is that there is no hard sell because there doesn't need to be. Amans reviews speak for themselves and after meeting him, he sells himself without needing to actively "sell" anything. As I was clueless (story of my life), Aman had a look around and then sat and explained a little about him and his company, the brand of CCTV he uses, along with the set up he recommended for our house and why. Price wise, Aman worked within our budget and came in at mid-range on our quotes. For the premium parts used and knowing what I know now, I'd have happily paid much more. If you are looking for cheap and cheerful then Amans alarms are not the company you should use, but a couple of years down the line he will be able to sort out the mess the cheap and cheerful installers make! For me, it was a no brainer that we would be using Aman, so I asked for availability. Don't be surprised or put off if you have to wait a week or two for your install - they are busy because they are so good - it is worth the wait! Our install was fairly standard with particular OCD on my part that is was a new build and I didn't want any mess. With Amans career history in tech, I shouldn't have worried. Aman is very particular and his team are the most respectful conscientious and tidy workers I have ever dealt with. All work was done to the very highest of standards over a couple of days. We chose grey cameras and unfortunately one of the three did not arrive in time for the install so Aman installed a temporary camera so that we didn't go without. I know other companies would have made us wait the day or two it took for the correct camera to arrive, but this is just yet another factor that makes Amans Alarms different. Even after him having a wisdom tooth operation, he came back fighting fit to finish the job. Unfortunately, what I couldn't predict was the complaint about our install from a very difficult new neighbour. I count myself as a very polite person, but within less than two minutes of the neighbour knocking on my door, I'd slammed it in his face. What could have escalated to a full-blown war, was quickly diffused by Aman who took charge immediately in dealing with the gentleman in a much more polite but direct way than I could have mustered. Not to delve too deeply into detail, but Aman knows the regulations and laws surrounding his trade! Even now, I cannot quite articulate how much this was appreciated. Before Aman left, he sat and talked me through setting up the app and followed this up with an email giving instructions for adding any additional devices. I won't go into all the other extras that Aman did for us, but it was over and above the job he was employed to do with absolute minimal pricing implications to us but probably a maximum inconvenience to him, though we would never have known. A special mention to Amans colleague Rhys who helped us out with some electrical work that we needed doing and saved us £140! I have no doubt that during our service warranty over the next 12 months, Aman will be available if we need him for the warranty on our install (though I seriously doubt we will!). Moving into a new house is a stressful time and finding decent companies that you trust to do a decent job is not easy. Aman's alarms made everything so much easier for us and we will be eternally grateful for them giving us peace of mind. Amans alarms are by far the best company that I have had the pleasure of dealing with and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody.
